Alu bhartaスパイシーなマッシュポテト[Spicy Mashed Potato]
Alu bhorta is a popular side dish in Bangladesh.Alu bhorta is the easiest and tastiest thing to make with potato.Bengali cuisine has a variety of bhorta dishes which are made with all kinds of ingredients. It’s always hard to resist any type of bhorta really. They are all extremely tasty and made using similar techniques where ingredients are either boiled, steamed or even fried.
Ingredients:
- 4 Pices of medium Potatoes.
- 1 Pice of medium Onion
- 2 Pices of Green Chili
- Salt to taste
- Mustard Oil 1 tea spoon
How to make Alu Bharta[Spicy Mashed Potato]
Step 1
Properly wash the potatoes
Step 2
For big potatoes cut each in half as shown in picture.
Step 3
Boil the potatoes in water, over medium heat, for 20 minutes until they are soft.
Step 4
Once they have slightly cooled, peel the skin.
Step 5
The boiled potatoes mash by hand or masher.
Step 6
Thinly Slices Onion and Green Chili.
Step 7
Mash by hand the green chili with salt as per taste, followed by chopped onions. Add mustard oil and mix all ingredients well. Add mashed potato, continue to mash until everything is thoroughly mixed.
Serving
Serve hot with steaming white rice.
